Orbital Case – Titanium White is in!

In one of the previous blog post I wrote about my plan to contact the people of Orbital Case – Polypodis Shop about the possibilities of having the case ordered straight from them and have it delivered to The Netherlands. Well during the website overhaul I did and their response was suprisingly, well…. Great! They came back to me with the statement; “Just send us EUR 9,80 shipping cost and we will get you one. Yes you read that right! ONLY the shipping costs. Ok, to be perfectly honest, I did mention this website and the [DiY] Home (Personal AI) Assistant project I am running. So it is only fair to give them some extra coverage and write a small review. Although there is not much to review, as it does what it does, being a Raspberry Pi case with perfect build quality. The only remark that I do have, is that the diameter of the case is a bit bigger as expected, but that is all on me as I could have taken a look at a ruler to see how big 14 cm. is.

Below, some pictures of the package and the device itself with and without the Raspberry Pi and ReSpeaker 4-Mic array.

All pictures are self explainatory, but just in case; The box it came in, the case nicely packed within a plastic back including all screws and 4 rubberpads which are great as the case stand rocksolid on a flat surface. Further more the Raspberry Pi and ReSpeaker added for size comparison.

For the moment I leave the top of during further development, however soon enough I will start modding the case and then we take it from there. Perhaps later on in the near future when I might start exploiting the webshop again I will start distributing thise case for my fellow Dutchies.
